In the mythology of ancient Greece, Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom, <\/span><\/p>\n

honored the night bird. The Little Owl also adorned the reverse of their coins in Athenian trade.<\/span><\/p>\n

The silkscreen has been printed on a cotton t-shirt, with short sleeves, round neck with braid, white color.<\/span><\/p>\n

Manufactured in Greece. 100% Cotton. Wash at 30-40C or cold wash.<\/span><\/p>\n

The owls in Greek Mythology<\/span><\/p>\n

In the mythology of ancient Greece, Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom, <\/span><\/p>\n

was impressed by both the big eyes and<\/span><\/p>\n

from the celebratory appearance of the owl that, <\/span><\/p>\n

after the mischievous raven escaped, he honored the night bird, <\/span><\/p>\n

making it her favorite among winged creatures.<\/span><\/p>\n

Athena’s bird was the Little Owl (Athene noctua).<\/span><\/p>\n

This owl was protected and <\/span><\/p>\n

inhabited the Acropolis in large numbers. <\/span><\/p>\n

It is believed that a magical “inner light” gave the owl night vision.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a symbol of Athena, the owl was a protector,<\/span><\/p>\n

accompanying the Greek armies in the war and<\/span><\/p>\n

providing decorative inspiration for their everyday life.<\/span><\/p>\n

If an owl flew over the Greek soldiers before a battle,<\/span><\/p>\n

they took it as a sign of victory. <\/span><\/p>\n
