    More information about Pythagoras:

    Pythagoras is the foremost founder of Greek mathematics, he created a complete system for the science of celestial bodies which he established with all the relevant numerical and geometric proofs and was the founder of a mythical philosophical movement called Pythagorism (Pythagorism or Pythagoreanism).

    It also had a major influence on philosophy and religious teaching in the late 6th century BC.

    He died at Metapontion in Italian Lefkania at the age of 84 in 496 BC.
